Kemps General Store was founded in 2017 by Liz Kemp, a shopkeeper's daughter and passionate advocate of independent retail. Kemps Books was added in 2020, following expansion to bigger premises, and sister shop Kemps On The Corner opened in Wetherby in 2024.
